Presley’s Story
Hi Everyone, I’m Presley, co-founder and CFO of
CorkyCards.com. Like Corky, I was born in the Midwest, actually, Locust Grove, Oklahoma. My human, Joni, who lives in Playa Del Rey, California, was feeling lonesome…she had tried marriage, raised two kids, had a successful career in radiology management, but she needed something (someone) – and that was me.
She (in her wisdom) had a vision that a miniature Schnauzer was the way to go, and she initiated a search through friends and family for a young promising pup. She learned of a litter in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and since her brother-in-law, Tom, lived nearby, she called on his help to find just the friend she was intended to have.

By some terrible accident all current photos of the lovely Joni were burned – here is the only photo that survived the fire. Age her by a few (45+) years and you will have the current Ms. Joni.
(The lonely look seems to work for me don’t you think? I am not really lonely it is just the pouty lips that make me look lonely.)

Tom flew with me on the plane, and comforted me the whole way. Then, at LAX, I met the human woman of my dreams – Joni! She took me home, and we started our housekeeping. And guess what? She gave me a bath! |

Then I met our neighbors, Corky McDuff and his human, Toni! Wow, what a dream come true. How could two doggies be more happy than we are? Two great friends with their humans to play with and kiss and walk with every day. I set up housekeeping with Joni in our condo. I had to lay down some rules, but Joni’s a quick study. She loves my kisses!

And Joni buys my toys and chewies, and she picks up my doo doos. I protect the condo (Corky and I usually spend the day together) and she goes to work. Sometimes Toni is here with us, sometimes she goes out on errands and things. When Joni and Toni come home, Corky and I are always glad to welcome them and tell them about our day! And Joni and Toni are great company for each other.
One day Joni was on the computer, searching for ecards for our relatives. I barked and barked until she understood what I was saying: Why not build our own website with ecards of doggies and oh, okay, other animals too, so humans can share their good friends with the whole world?! And that is how Corkycards.com got started.
